The Ganoderma genus, commonly known as "reishi" or "lingzhi," includes fungi celebrated for their medicinal properties and cultural significance. Ganoderma lucidum, a particularly well-studied species and the one we use in our tinctures, is a revered medicinal mushroom deeply rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, with a long history of use in Asia dating back thousands of years.

Scientists have investigated reishi’s potential as an anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anti-tumour agent, suggesting its use in addressing diverse health conditions. It boasts a rich composition of polysaccharides with immune-modulating and antioxidant properties, along with 130-500 triterpenoids known for their anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effects. These compounds may strengthen the immune system, helping the body combat infections and diseases.

Additionally, reishi has been shown to promote better sleep and has demonstrated blood sugar lowering, cholesterol lowering, and blood pressure lowering effects. Therefore, it may be advisable to avoid reishi if you have low blood pressure or are taking medications that lower blood pressure.

As with any supplement, consult qualified medical practitioner to ensure it won't interact with any medications you are currently taking.

Recommended Dosage

Each 50ml bottle is made with 80g of fresh mushroom and contains 30-50 doses.

Take half a pipette (10-15 drops) of each extract 1-2 times daily in any hot or cold liquid such as tea, coffee, juice or water.
